"Through the '90s and into the new century, Smith was famous for being
famous, a pop-culture punchline because of her up-and-down weight, her
Marilyn Monroe looks, her exaggerated curves, her little-girl voice,
her ditzy-blonde persona, and her over-the-top revealing outfits.

Recently, she lost a reported 69 pounds and became a spokeswoman for
TrimSpa, a weight-loss supplement. On her reality show and other
recent TV appearances, her speech was often slurred and she seemed out
of it. Some critics said she seemed drugged-out.

"Undoubtedly it will be found at the end of the day that drugs
featured in her death as they did in the death of poor Daniel," said a
former attorney for Smith in the Bahamas, Michael Scott." /copy and

Anna Nicole Smith is dead at age 39. Rest in Peace.

That was my guess too, especially if the dieting was enhanced by
stimulants.

Those tattoos really make her look worse than anything else. It's
like graffitti on a nice house. Utterly disgusting.

Hey, speaking of diets and drugs...why hasn't anyone mentioned that
new first-ever-FDA-approved over-the-counter diet pill?? The full
version, with increased dosage, is available by prescription only, but
it has blocked sugar and fat absorption in the blood by up to 30%!!!

Lame. She came across as being a basically pretty decent person, and
clearly had an incredibly rough ride in life, poor girl.

She was pretty much my number one wank fantasy for most of my
teenage years, so i'm taking this quite hard.

A waste of a new mom too don't forget. Her life is a testament to the
ravages of drug and alcohol abuse. This woman literally "had it all"
and was unable to enjoy it or use it to help others for any length of
time.

Her death has reminded me to get in touch with a friend of mine who is
addicted. I need to help him.

I may be overly judgmental in saying this, but I don't think she would
have been much of a mom.

Just goes to show again that it isn't simply "how much" so much as
what you do with what you do have.

Good luck with that! Scientists just discovered that a certain kind
of injury to the insula in the brain suddenly cures smokers of their
nicotine needs -- so you've given yourself one heck of a mission
there....

That was simply my fitness-related (well, by way of nutrition/diet)
Subject line, actually.

My *guess* would be a garden variety drug overdose. Surprised(

Addicts are notoriously recalcitrant. Or something like that.

Indeed.

Would that "certain kind of injury to the insula in the brain" be
anything related to a good frigging swift boot to the head?

SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to actually reach out
to a person in your life who needs you. Or something like that huh?
