Monday:
Jogging 5km
Deadlift 1 RM

Tuesday
Deadlift 1 RM

Thursday
Bent-Over Rows 1 set to failure
Bench Press 1 set to failure

Friday
Deadlift 1 RM

Saturday
Deadlift 1 RM

Sunday
Deadlift 1 RM

I find that doing deads all out for 1 rep helps my arthritic fingers (I hold
on to the heavy barbell for 15-20 seconds).

I'd rather start with your grammar. "Critique" ain't a verb.

As for your exercise regimen, one wonders why you'd look to
wreck.running for feedback. Unless, that is, your secret Wednesday
workout includes a forty mile run. If it does, I suspect you'll
benefit more by replacing it with a few hours of vocabulary and
conjugation.

It is when people use it as a verb. And please don't swiftboat me for saying
so.

Aw c'mon - are you really prepared to open the floodgates to vulgar
and misguided new usage begun as recently as the eighteenth century?

Alright already, I'll amend my formulation. "Critique" is a fine noun
but a *very silly* verb.

No need; they've had one of their top grammar dicks tailing me for
years. Watch for the verb form of "critique" to be deprecated as
"very silly" in the next edition of the OED.

Also, watch for the common American usage to exhibit even greater
confusion in coming years, with a new form emerging as a "best of both
worlds" compromise. Double your money back if "critiqueicize" is not
in heavy rotation by 2012.

Just be careful to switch up your root verbs and tenses from time to
time - you don't want to incur RSI.

Really? You should write to the Oxford English Dictionary and let them
know. At the moment, they say:

critique, v. trans.

a. To write a critique upon; to review, criticize. (In quot. 1751 prob.
stressed {sm}critique: cf. CRITIC v.)

1751 Hist. Pompey the Little p. vii, The worst ribaldry of Aristophanes
shall be critiqued and commented on. 1815 W. H. IRELAND Scribbleomania 2
Some writers there are who..all subjects critique. 1831 Fraser's Mag. IV.
3 Hogg's tales are critiqued by himself in Blackwood.

b. More generally, to judge critically, to make a critical assessment of
or comment on (an action, person, etc.), not necessarily in writing.
Chiefly U.S.

1969 New Yorker 19 Apr. 81/1 A football coach critiquing a fumble on a
film of a game. 1972 Jrnl. Social Psychol. LXXXVII. 160 If we, as
scientists, critique society, does our ethical commitment stop there? 1973
N.Y. Times 21 Jan. IV. 4/1, I would not try to critique what Governor
Rockefeller said to his legislature. 1975 New Yorker 24 Mar. 32/3 You can
watch..a videotape of your own tennis game..to critique your serve. 1978
Detroit Free Press 2 Apr. E6/1 Clark is not about to critique the Lions
publicly. 1986 Washington Post 20 Mar. D5/4 The home economics supervisor
who is overseeing and critiquing the progress of Dynamics for District
Public Schools, has commented [etc.].

To think, dudes as far back as 1751 using it wrong! Oh, the humanity!

Idiot.

> I suspect you'll benefit more by replacing it with a few hours of

Hell, forget the vocabulary, but a few hours of conjugation certainly
sounds like a fun workout!

Not enough deadlifting. You should deadlift on the wednesdays too.

And drink more milk.

What a foolish thing to do to your back. You will pay for this routine and
pay dearly.

I look forward to it!

There is one entry in the OED that says something along those lines. I
can't for the life of me remember what it is, just that i was rather
surprised at what they'd written.

I will start using this word immediately.

Interesting. This is so unusual you'll have to tell us your progress
every month or so. If you are making strength gains then its okay.
