Post subject: Bowflex revolution home gym - some questions
Archived from groups: misc>fitness>weights (more info?)

Hi there

I am looking to get some fitness equipment for home - spare room in a
new build house here in the UK - so in other words a small room.

So - no space for dumbells, frames etc.

Looking to get a useful home gym and thinking about the Bowflex
Revolution...

Got a few questions...

a) Anyone else used this piece of kit - if so - comments?

b) Does anyone know any other home gyms that have a cardio feature
(Bowflex has rowing) - I do not have space for a stepper or what have
you as well as a multi-gym.

c) I live in the UK - anyone know of any dealers here that sell the
Bowflex Revolution?

Thanks in advance for any help

Cheers

RC

And you're done.

Although to be honest, if you're seriously considering buying a Bowflex,
you probably have more serious problems than fitness.

One of them will be financial problems. It costs a LOT of money to put all
them infomercials on, send out all those "free" DVDs, give away color
laminated brocures, and pay models to lie and say they got their physiques
using bowflex. All of that is overhead. I would guestimate 99% of what you
are paying for a bow flex is that stuff, the other 1% is for the machine you
overpaid for.

You guys call my bluff. I can't sell anything and I'm totally worthless
when it comes to money. You can have this bridge for free. Now, can we
talk about something interesting, like the number of angels on a pin
point?

Not me, but Aquinas did have some. Actually he wondered if several
Angels could occupy the same spot, and he supposedly come to the
conclusion, that no.

But debating the number of Angels on a pin point is a proverbially
pointless academic discussion ever since.

Well, duh. That's just the Pauli exclusion principle. But that requires
that angels are fermionic, which they might not be.

"Angel physics has until now mainly employed theological methods, but as
this paper shows, modern information physics, quantum gravity and
relativity theory provide powerful tools for exploring the dynamics and
statics of angels."

These are dancing angels. See

http://michaelminn.net/andros/index.php?pre_school

and look for Elizabeth and her bottle. Then go to

and decide for yourself Smile

Andrzej, I have been giving this a lot of thought. If you had 6 relatively
slim angels and a pin head somewhat wider than the average - I reckon you
could get them on it. It would not be very comfortable and they probably
could not stay there for very long - but look, these are angels, they could
handle it I'm sure

True. At least we can say that we could fit an infinite number of lilies
on the head of a pin - they have spin 0:

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=47&chapter=6&verse=28&ver...n=9&con

And thus are bosons.

This one looks more like spin-3 lily to me.

That's true. "Here honey. Have this pin. It contains an infinite
number of lilies on its point." That's romance, isn't it?
