If you get an olympic set the 7' bar has revolving sleeves at the ends of
the bars. Which is actually a better system as the center of mass doesn't
move in your hands. If you get a cheap set of non-olympic weights they
should have a metal sleeve between the collars.

Also thick-handles dumbbells and kettlebells.
But I really don't think you'll need the sleeves. Get a decent olympic set
and you'll never miss 'em. IMO.
