That sort of bench is standard - the best ones are sold in fitness specialty
stores - what town do you live in? >> Stay informed about: Advice for a newbie? |

I would go into the store as the sales guys generally are knowledgeable if
it is a specialist. Leg curls are standard with most of these benches. Back
extensions is harder - I don;'t know of any bench that will give that.
You can get back extensions with certain natural traction back machines -
cost you for an additional machine but it is a worthwhile exercise to do.

Any guy who lifts weights will want to work the biceps. It's inevitable. >> Stay informed about: Advice for a newbie? |

I am a huge believer in working out at home. I love the fact that I
can roll out of bed, lift weights, and be on my way in less time than
some people spend driving to their workout and getting prepared to
actually lift something. In fact, you can make serious progress
without even purchasing a bench. For more information check out Dan
John's excellent Throwing and Lifting page, including his free ebook.

Instead of looking for a bench with a leg extension leg curl whatsit I
would suggest saving a bit of money and just getting a sturdy bench
that inclines. What you really want is a power rack and a bench.
That set up allows you to bench and squat in safety. Combine squats
and bench presses with deadlifts, pullups, bent over rows, and perhaps
some of the olympic lifts and you are golden.
Take a look at the link above, it's pretty good.

You know, I never thought about it before, butt do you think it's
possible my flourescent orange thong turned them on? And I did pad my
pushup bra, so that might've attracted attention too. >> Stay informed about: Advice for a newbie? |
